Science is the language of nature. i can get by, ask where the train station is and such, but i have a very ignorant accent.

You cant sell news stories that have data and cautious predictions. Where is the panic? Where is the impending doom? C'mon people , give me something to work with here…

Quantum Shmamtum - The religion of science

I am here. But I am also there. You might be reading this article or maybe you are not and it is all happening at the same time, but it doesn’t really matter as this article just changed because you looked at it so you might as well start reading from the beginning.

If by any chance you have managed to pass the logical loop in the first phrase, have managed to continue forward and you are now reading this second paragraph, chances are you are a human being and don’t have the thinking structure and capacity to understand this article at all.
Isn’t physics fun?

If you thought that science was certain - well, that is just an error on your part.” - Richard Feinman

I love quantum physics. I don’t know much about it, but that seems to be the common denominator for anyone I hear talk about it so it is ok. It is one of those theories that are bordering on religion.

There is no way to prove them, the experiments are done in such a vague and complex manner that hardly anyone can actually control or authenticate them and all in all it sounds like something that might be right. or wrong. Or both at the same time of course. Schrodinger rulez.

I think I can safely say that nobody understands Quantum Mechanics” - Richard Feinman

The thing I love the most about quantum physics is the watering down and chewing up of the material for the public. This way there is a nice thick layer of almost-understandings and half truths on the level that everybody feels comfortable with.

And there was never any part of physics that has been the base of so many no-budget  low quality animation YouTube videos. Not even the global association of cats playing piano or sneezing panda cubs have that much clickable coverage.

I have recently heard PETA is starting a campaign against quantum physics, with doctor Schrödinger as their target of criticism, for his possible harming of animals. Or not.

Quantum shmantum is the new mambo jumbo. I am not saying it is not true. It might be. But it is definitely not a paradigm shift like people expect it to be. Maybe it's just a matter of time. My paradigm didn’t shift even one centimeter.

A falling toast still obey the rules of gravity I know and experienced all my life and if there is any physics law we can always rely on it is Murphy's and even though the toast maybe falling both on the buttered side and the other side simultaneously in different dimensions, for some strange reason in the dimension I happen to live in, it is always the buttered side that hits my carpet in the end.

And this is exactly why I love quantum mechanics. And why I can't stand quantum mechanics. At the same time of course. True, in only  7 out of the 11 known dimensions, but still. I love it so. No I don’t.

I've had it.
I am going to open the box and kill that damn cat once and for all.
