TV is a medium. but on rare occasions it is well-done, and actually worth watching .

I know more people that can't stand 'little Britain' than people who appreciate the genius hidden there under those horribly caricatures they have created. These people don’t know what they are missing.

You cant sell news stories that have data and cautious predictions. Where is the panic? Where is the impending doom? C'mon people , give me something to work with here…

Little Britain - Computer says no

I know more people that can't stand 'little Britain' than people who appreciate the genius hidden there under those horribly caricatures they have created. These people don’t know what they are missing.
"This is the home of romance novelist, Dame Sally. I've always wanted to write a book, but unfortunately I don't have a pen."
True, you need a strong stomach to go through an episode of 'little Britain'. They are anything but nice, and the visual aspect is disturbing to say the least. But who said comedy was pretty? No pain no gain.

Andy: I wanna go swimming.
Lou: I thought you didn't like the sea.
I thought you said the sea was a dark and brutal force that has dragged many an innocent to a watery grave...
Andy: Yeah I know."

The characters that come back to haunt you in every episode are brilliant. Repulsive, disturbing, horribly ugly, but still brilliant. And with time you grow to like their eccentric ways and their quirks, if you can call these massive mountains of weird behavior  and psychotic behavior quirks. It's like calling the Everest a speed bump. And that is what is so funny.

British justice is the best in the world. Anyone who disagrees is either a gay, a woman or a mental."

Like 'league of gentlemen" before them, "little Britain" is holding no punches and is not trying to water down their deviant imagination for the viewers, and by belonging to that die-hard comedy suicide-jokers made sure the world is indeed divided to addicted fans and to people who think you are nuts when you laugh hysterically at their stupid stupid funny jokes.

TV Repairman: You said you had another TV for me to have a look at?
Ray McCooney: [Opens curtains in large window]: Yeeesss, By day t'is bright, but by night, t'is as black as a black man's cape.
TV Repairman: You do know that is a window?"

And being British is always a good laugh. Even when they try to be serious , and they are indeed as British as can be, much more than any British person would admit.

Britain, Britain, Britain. Why would you ever want to leave? Anybody who goes on holiday abroad is a traitor! I bloody love it here! Bloody love it! We produce the best films, the finest cuisines and our dogs are relatively rabies free. And this is all thanks to the peoples of Britain.
Let us look at them in this program in which we now look at them now.

Now, if I really wanted I could talk about their social importance as sarcastic commentators of our society's ailments, and I could go on about the complex local cultural characteristics they mock and ridicule, but I don’t really want to. I just want to laugh.

Social Worker: Vicky, where is the baby?
Vicky: Swapped it for a Westlife CD.
Social Worker: How could you do such a thing?
Vicky: I know, they're rubbish."

I just want to laugh. That's right. All the other messages can sip in while I am distracted by the silliness of it all. And you know what else I want? "I want thaaat one."

Britain, Britain, Britain! Here are some facts about Britain that you might not know: Number One: Britain is a country. Number Two: Britain is called Britain. Number Five: Britain!"
