ARCADIA

Suckling on arcadian tit
I remember the hysterium

As we drank the
dream of freedom
in its glory vending trucks
sweet sweet nectar of success
laid in portions on display.
with neon light
and pupils grand
and a show of cluster fucks
Made of blinding excess
in geometric fine array
I remember my creator there
advertised in letters gold
mega shops of happiness where
all my stories bought and sold
walking down the avenue in
glitter and amazing flares
shot into the dark above us
just to see if someone cares

The end is near,
I heard them whisper
drinking gallons black as ink
as the snakes of road
engulfed us
pushing all right to the brink
Of what we might do
if this time sands of clock
run to the ground
leaving credit and corruption
with a digital dim sound

The arcadian tree was planted
to remind us who we were.
In the legends of our fathers
inseminated by our mothers
only us and not the others
laugh at what we were before.

Suckling on arcadian tit
I remember the promotions
everything must go today
all is left is your dismay
discount dreams in brains unused
of the people we abused

drank the blood of vintage glass
of the huddling worthless mass
that old good
we thought would last

Drink today that milk of hope
as our neck can feel the rope
tied to this arcadian tree
waiting there for you and me
