i-LIFE

As we texted our word of the profits
in the tower of Babylon new
non-opposable thumbs
on small keys of our i-life
forgetting the truth we once knew.

In the apps of the apples
and the berries of black
we love skins much more then the core
we forgot how to read
the expressions of faces
of the loved ones we don’t see no more.

We uploaded our being
to the books of the face
as we downgrade our mind
and forget how it feels
to live life and to leave a remarkable trace
without leaving behind
the better part of our deals.

We have Twitted like
no bird has twitted before
as these birds are no longer down here
they have left this cement-ridden existence
and their twits fall on a deaf digital ear.

In shiny small screens our world
has the boundaries of plastic embrace
a frame that confines how we see what's around
how we act, how we feel,
how we choose to live in this place.

The pixels of soul less apparent somehow
and it looks oh so real and so bright
as we follow the piper
who plays the broad bands
to the heavenly bliss that we might
find that is not what we thought after all
and it's harder to grasp than it seems
but it might be a less
heavenly life
once you have forsaken your dreams.

It is not in the screen that we might find it all
in full splendour
that never has changed since the dawn
of the first day
creation has given us sparks
of what never will leave us alone.

It is not in an app, nor emoticon floats
that the real life is hidden from us till we try
to touch it once more and to open the door
That appears for a blink of an
I.
