ORDINERY

Long dead corridors
of claustrophobic eternity
full of rooms of desperation
Were never my cup of tea
But also wilderness
and the miracle
Which is the great outdoors
Are really not
for me.
It’s a problem writing poems
About the oh so ordinary
Spaces of our mind
Where we spend most
of our time
Whether in prose
or some in rhyme
A poet who rants or a mime
Those spaces which do not define
Us
But give us just
Just enough space to grow
The living room of our existence
The bedroom of your id.
The place which knows it's but a stage
As back as ground indeed
Those places where your life is happening
As you make another plan
Like the guy that they shot
said one time oh way back then.

It’s the prose of the middle ones
That is making the poetry
out of you
It’s the forgettable normalities
That grey that helps you show your nature's hue.

But it is harder now my boy
To find these spaces
that you need
As everything is covered
gold these days
Hidden underneath the greed
You'll have to make
one by yourself
A quite place where
you feel right
And that will never give
and never take
Never a liar, never a fake
A place in which
yourself you make
To win or break
To lose or take
Make no mistake
The situation is not light
For unless you find your space
Your perfect womb
Your nurture place
You will never
Know growth
Like is your right.
Like you should.
Ask each and every
Common wood
About true growing
Without knowing
Without blowing
A fuse every day
In a chase after what
After things you don’t want
But you have
Because you must
As they just gather dust
On your soul
They are eating
You whole
From within
Don’t give in
To this horrid addiction
Of having it all.
Houses big
And cellphones so small
Having it all.
Having nothing at all
It all went
In attempt to fill
That hole
In your soul.
Where you had
It all
Once.
